As a consumer I should have read the fine print/return policy because had I known they don't refund your money for almost anything you buy I wouldn't have even bothered. I tried two Smart Gloves because of wrist pain, but they didn't work. So I contacted them and they said Tough Shit! Not literally but that's the result. Their return policy says "Your happiness is important to us, yet due to the rehabilitation and hygiene nature of our products, most of our products must be non-returnable. Hygiene items such as bed and relaxation, bath safety, braces, cushions, pillows, gloves; Rehab items such as uplift seat assist, walkers, putties, leg lifters are not returnable. Items that are not returnable are often indicated in its product description as well."
It wasn't. So if you buy something and it's the wrong size, too bad. If you buy something and it doesn't work, too bad.
This is a big big big BUYER BEWARE ! There are so many other stores to choose from, don't ever shop here
As an avid online shopper I am comforted by the fact that people are not able to try things on and send them back. I like knowing that my item is brand new, never been used. I always check return policies before I buy, it is rather ignorant to assume that all items are returnable, especially rehab items. I've checked out activeforever.com and it seems like an awesome company!!

If you could give feedback like opinions about the idea, would you shop there, etc. about shopping in a retail environment where is revolves around travel and all the things you may need for a trip (vacation, business) some of things it may carry are travel size beauty products and necces. and travel blankets, pillows, possibly luggage. It would be a mid-upscale store.
Would you shop there?
Would you shop there more if in a mall setting or stand alone or street strip retail?
Pro's/Con's?
Thanks.
They have some stores here in Cali called flight 101, they are designed to look like the interior of an aircraft. They sell relatively high end goods, and seem to have some success. They have 3 locations SF, LA, and NYC. I'd suggest starting your business in a regional airport, one with connecting international flights would probably be best. In my opinion, you will get much better margins through luggage as opposed to cremes, etc as they are all for sale at the news stand. Regional airports may have :
a. lower rental rates
b. available spaces (vacancies)
c. less competition
Another option would be to rent kiosks in larger airports where rents will run much higher.
i buy my luggage from hideo wakamatsu, a Japanese designer with a store close to mine in sf. I wouldn't go out of my way to buy luggage in a mall. My feeling is that a stand alone location will help you to establish your new businesses identity better than a strip or even indoor mall. Having said that I still think having the store in the airport is the way to go.
good luck with your endeavor!

I have my own shop here in China, it is a franchised store, All the bedding I sold enjoy a good fame in my country. I planned to sell them on EBAY, Do you think there will be huge potentials in this area in the US? What is the regular price for sheets, pillows, etc?what kind of stuff in this category attract you most? Thank you^_^
I would really appreciate your help if you provide more details about this.
Honestly–and no offense to you–but I really dont think you will get a lot for bedding on ebay–there is an abundance of it.
All very cheap–new and used.
Unless you are starting auctions at a penny–I really dont think you will fare well.
Too many people already sell cheap bedding–and you being in China–the shipping fees will be a turn off to a lot of US buyers.

After Mr. & Mrs. Fenton retired, Mrs. Fenton insisted her husband accompany her on her trips to Walmart. Unfortunately, Mr. Fenton was like most men — he found shopping boring and preferred to get in and get out. Equally unfortunately, Mrs. Fenton was like most women — she loved to browse. One day Mrs. Fenton received the following letter from her local Walmart.
Dear Mrs. Fenton:
Over the past 6 months, your husband has been causing quite a commotion in our store. We cannot tolerate this behavior and may be forced to ban both of you from the store. Our complaints against Mr. Fenton are listed below and are documented by our video survellance cameras.
1.June 15: Took 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them in people’s carts when they weren’t looking.
2. July 2: Set all the alarm clocks in Housewares to go off at 5 minute intervals.
3. July 7: Made a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading to the women’s restroom.
4. July 19: Walked up to an employee and told her in an official voice, “Code 3 (lost child) in Housewares - get on it right away.”
5. August 4: Went to the Service Desk and tried to put a bag of M&M’s on layaway.
6. September 14: Moved a “CAUTION - WET FLOOR” sign to a carpeted area.
7. September 15: Set up a tent in the camping department and told other shoppers he’d invite them in if they would bring pillows and blankets from the bedding department.
8. September 23: When a clerk asked if she could help him, he began crying and screamed, “Why can’t you people just leave me alone?”
9. October 4: Looked right into the security camera and used it as a mirror while he picked his nose.
10. November 10: While handling guns in the hunting department, he asked the cleark where the antidepressants were.
11. December 3: Darted around the store suspiciously while loudly humming the “Mission Impossible” theme.
12. December 6: In the auto department, he practiced his “Madonna look” by using different sizes of funnels.
13. December 18: Hid in a clothing rack and when people browsed through it, yelled “PICK ME! PICK ME!”
14. December 21: When an announcement came over the loud speaker, he assumed a fetal position and screamed “OH NO! IT’S THOSE VOICES AGAIN!”
15. December 23: Went into a fitting room, shut the door, waited awhile, then yelled very loudly, “Hey! There’s no toilet paper in here!”
Regards,
When I’m forced to go to Walmart with my wife I usually spend my time either super gluing a few front wheels on shopping carts in a left turn position or maybe filing about an inch of rubber off one of the rear wheels on a few others. Nothing destructive, just something other shoppers might enjoy. Your list, though, has given me some new ideas.

I was thinking:
Burgundy walls, white ceiling
white bed blankets, pillows etc.
chocolate brown furniture
gold decals/designs on walls or pictures (ex. http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc278/321catherine/untitled-2.jpg)
string lights around posts
and i’m still deciding whether i want a canopy bed or not.
what do you think? and what kind of curtain or blind should i have for my windows? (average sized windows)
if the link doesnt work. the pictures i want to hang up are black and white photos of the city.
Sounds really fun! I know it’s a little odd for a bedroom, but you might consider cafe curtains strung on a wire for that “coffee shop” feel. Also, see if you can find a corner to fit a metal bistro table and chair and magazine stylish magazine rack.
